HISTORYDowntown Options is incorporated under the laws of the State of Ohio in 1994. The corporation was created to formalize and consolidate the independent grant writing and implementation work of Patrick and Sandra Crow. The President of the corporation is Sandra L. Crow. Patrick L. Crow serves as the Vice President of the corporation. Patrick Crow has been working in community planning and development, engineering design services, specification writing, planning implementation, and residential and commercial rehabilitation for over 15 years. He has also been the author of and participant in writing, preparing, and implementing Community Development Block Grants since 1988. Mr. Crow has extensive management experience, is well-versed in cooperative community ventures and has valuable community administrative and leadership experience. Mr. Crow served eight years as Downtown Development Project Manager for the Heritage Centre Association of Mount Vernon, where he prepared and was successful in receiving three Downtown Revitalization Grants, FY94, FY98, and FY2001 He has also prepared, received and administered numerous grants while serving as the Mayor of the Village of Danville. Sandra Crow has worked as a project assistant, typist, administrative assistant, executive and legal secretary for over 20 years. Her experience includes assisting Mr. Crow in the preparation of planning, appraisals, specifications, bids, estimates, mechanical analysis, grants and programs writing. Mrs. Crow has extensive management experience as an employer in Knox County. She also has substantial experience at dealing with contractors, contract administration, and financial management. Downtown Options implemented the Project Management portion of the FY94 and FY98 CDBG for Downtown Revitalization for the City of Mount Vernon. They received an "A" rating on the project when monitored by the Office of Housing and Community Partnerships, Ohio Department of Development.
